NicCheck® I is a rapid test to determine a person’s smoking status. This test is semi-quantitative, identifying high consumers from low consumers of nicotine. NicCheck I is FDA cleared and is the only rapid test for nicotine that is CLIA Waived. Our test detects not only nicotine but a dozen metabolites of nicotine of which Cotinine is usually the one of the most interest due to its long half-life.
Mossman Associates also represents the BioSound® Therapy Systems from BioSound Technologies. The System integrates an audio/ visual delivery system with a Vibrational platform. The system reduces: Stress, Anxiety, Body Aches, Depression, Anger, Muscle Tension, Cravings and Racing Thoughts. The System is being used in Drug Addiction Centers, Mental Health and Wellness Centers and by First Responders and Chiropractors.
Founder
Mr. Donald Mossman is the President of Mossman Associates Inc, which was founded in 2001. Mr. Mossman has almost 5 decades of experience in virtually all aspects of the biotech industry. His exposure runs the complete gamut of activities including Customer service, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, Marketing, Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs and Finance. The companies he has helped have been as diverse, including manufacturers of such products as home pregnancy and ovulation tests, reagents to turn off genes, and generic pharmaceuticals.
History
The professionals at Mossman Associates have been pioneering innovations within the medical diagnostic field for almost 50 years. In 1970s they were involved with the first coated tube assays using radioimmunoassay (RIA) for measuring small amounts of circulating analytes. In the 1980s, they were involved with the introduction of one of the first home pregnancy and home ovulation tests. Radical for their time these tests are still on the market in new generation formats. In the 1990s, our personnel helped pioneer “gene silencing” using DNA oligos and siRNA. Today these powerful tools are still in use.
In 2001 we at Mossman Associates introduced our first diagnostic products, NicCheck and MycoDot®, which keeping with our tradition were fairly radical products for their times. NicCheck is the first FDA cleared product for the semi-quantitation of nicotine and nicotine metabolites in urine. It remains the only CLIA Waived test on the market for this purpose to this date. MycoDot was the first serology test approved by any governmental agency (the Kosheio in JAPAN) for the rapid testing for active Tuberculosis. MycoDot is no longer on the market at this time.
